Elaine + Becky

I met Elaine + Becky + their daughter Ellery last year during my Sunflower Field Mini's. When she reached out this year for my Zoo Blooms mini event I was ecstatic to see them again and for them to trust me with capturing another year in their lives is such a big deal to me. We captured so many adorably sweet photos with Ellery + her gorgeous mamas last year. I couldn't wait to see what we would come up with this year.

It has felt like every weekend in this Queen City of ours it has either been snowing or raining. Someday's if we are lucky we even get a combination of the too. Can you hear the sarcasm seeping through my keyboard? This midwestern weather is a real stressor for any photographer. The weekend of our Zoo Bloom mini's was no different from any of the others this year. We were rained out and had to reschedule. As our reschedule date was approaching the weather forecast was not looking good for us. Contrary to what I may believe I cannot control everything, the weather obviously being one.

If I was a superhero and had one superpower forget about reading someones mind or flying. I want to control the dang weather! After another issue with our outdoor location we had to relocate to one of my favorite spots to shoot at, Ault Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Which I wasn't to upset over, it ended up being a beautiful day with a gorgeous golden hour. It could not have went better! Not only did I get to catch up with Ellery + her mamas I also met her aunt + her cousins who have some pretty sick dance moves.

If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting Ault Park it is a Cincinnati must. It has a ton of different layers to explore and has a little bit of something for everyone. It especially perfect for four hyper cousins who like to run and dance to Old Time Road. Theres big open fields to run around in and beautiful flowers to stop and admire before the next spontaneous break dance.

I am so happy that Elaine had the idea to bring her sister + Ellery's cousins along with them. I'm not sure if everyones family was is like this but when I was growing up my cousins were always my best friends. Even now my cousins and I are still super close. I wish I had more photos of all of us together. I feel blessed to be able to capture these moments for Elaine + her family.

Priceless photos that Ellery + her cousins will cherish forever.

It's always a headache, for everyone involved, when we have to reschedule a session. Shooting outdoors in these beautiful locations produces such amazing results but does have its cons, the rapidly changing weather, being the biggest one. Flexibility is key. Even though we had to push back out shoot and relocate twice I wouldn't change a single thing about the entire experience. Elaine, Becky + her family were dream clients. I always have so much running around capturing families + I am so thankful to be going into my second year with this incredible family!
